Our Vision

We have developed a program, which if followed, provides a personalized path to recovery from addiction. The program we developed is a structured program designed for each patient, predicated upon an in-depth needs assessment, professional evaluation of the assessment, and an implementation of each patient’s individual program of recovery utilizing treating the mind, body, and spirit. The program at the Kentuckiana Center for Addiction Medicine requires that each patient recover within an out-patient, real world environment.

Our physicians and counselors constantly commit to reviewing and implementing the latest and best advances in the fields of addiction treatment. The experience of all of the professionals at KCAM has taught us that our patients flourish best when enveloped in an environment of mutual respect and support. Here they are allowed to learn how to make healthy choices.

Our Model

Treatment takes place in a comfortable, compassionate, and nurturing out-patient environment. Providing support, structure, and education regarding addiction and recovery in the initial stages of each patient’s treatment allows our patient to fully participate in their recovery. The decisions for Medication Assisted Treatment and the method of individual and/or group counseling are collectively made by the patient, physician, and counselors, as a team, whenever possible. Our physicians and counselors work together with the staff and administration to provide the highest quality treatment and comprehensive care in the out-patient program. They frequently collaborate with a patient’s other physicians, other treating experts, legal consultants or representatives, and/or family members if requested and authorized by the patient. It is our position that a patient will recover if he or she wants to recover and follows the requisites for physician appointments, honesty in assessments and evaluation, and engages and participates in counseling. All of our providers are Waiver 2000 certified providers.
